Before Baby is Born:
- Help you find a doctor
- Help you find referrals for Medi-Cal and WIC
- Help you find rides to your doctor, WIC, or prenatal appointments
- Provide prenatal education, including nutrition, mental health, and preparation for labor and delivery
- Help you plan for your baby’s care after birth
After Baby is Born:
- A nurse checks on you and your baby’s health
- Help with doctor visits and shots (immunizations)
- Support your recovery after birth and answer questions
- Share tips on baby growth and development
- Teach about breastfeeding, formula feeding, and newborn care
- Connect you to additional community resources and supportive services as needed
Families receive monthly in-home visits, with additional support by phone, from pregnancy through the baby's first birthday.
