The discretionary portion of the MADDY Fund is intended to support projects that enhance Kern County's EMS system beyond its normal operations. As approved by the Emergency Medical Care Advisory Board, funding may be used for programs, services, training, equipment, or educational resources that improve the quality, effectiveness, and delivery of prehospital emergency medical care for the benefit of the entire community.
