Examination

Appraisal (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of evaluating the applicant's training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the position. Appraisal can be based on any of the following: Investigation, oral examination and/or review of application. 

Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.

Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards

  • Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy.

  • Current license as Physical Therapist issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Physical Therapy Board of California.

  • Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Driver's License at the time of appointment.

  • Possess and maintain a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card.

  • New graduates of schools of Physical Therapy who have filed an application for registration may be employed under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist pending qualification in the next State examination.
